Hand-Tied Weft Hair Care Instructions

BRUSH WITH CARE
Start at the ends and brush hair gently working towards the root. A boar or nylon bristle brush works best. Avoid excessive pulling or harsh brushing to maintain the quality of your extensions.

WASH EXTENSIONS 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK
Brush through your hair extensions prior to washing. Wash hair extensions in downward strokes gently separating the hair. Use a sulfate free, color safe shampoo & conditioner in lukewarm water. Sulfates can cause split ends and make your hair look dry over time. A moisturizing formula will extend the life of your hair. Be gentle when applying conditioner to the scalp. Rinse with cold water to seal moisture into your cuticle. Use a deep conditioner twice a month to maintain quality.

BLOW DRY EXTENSIONS
Gently dry the extensions with a hair towel before using a detangling brush. Start at your ends when brushing. Apply a leave in conditioner or serum. We like Isles formula. We not recommend air drying your hair. Use a blow dryer and separate hair into sections to ensure your hair dries completely. Use a medium heat setting and blow dry in a downward direction. This will help maintain the cuticle and result in a smoother finish.

STYLING EXTENSIONS
Apply a leave-in conditioner to shield hair from heat damage. Do not exceed medium heat setting. The hair extensions can be styled using wire brushes or boar bristle brushes. To restyle, a blow dryer, flat iron, or curling iron may be used.
Use a hair oil consistently and as often as individually needed. Our scalp only produces enough natural oils for our natural hair, so you will need to supplement with a hair serum to allow continued moisture for your extensions. Always use a detangler + oil on the extensions after you shower and before you brush out your hair.

SLEEPING
Place your hair in a low soft ponytail, braid or flat wrap while sleeping to prevent tangles and knotting. Never go to bed with wet hair. We also recommend sleeping on a silk pillowcase.

SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK
We do NOT recommend swimming with your extensions. Hair may become discolored. Unknown elements in some water can cause damage, tangling and dryness. If you do choose to swim with your hair extensions, prep your hair by rinsing with water to reduce the absorption of chlorine and salt. Keep hair pulled back in a secure braid or bun to avoid matting. Rinse your hair with water immediately after swimming to prevent further damage. Wash and condition your hair.

USE EXTREME CAUTION WITH SUNSCREEN
Avoid your hair coming in contact with sunscreen at all costs as it WILL discolor your extensions. We do not recommend using a spray sunscreen .Keep your hair completely up and away when putting sunscreen on your body and shoulders. If your hair touches sunscreen (even quickly) it can cause it to turn an orange or peach color and the original color can not be restored.
